We love intelligence. It produces inventions and innovations, great ideas and unusual perspectives. Intelligence ushers in changes we can hardly predict. Great intellect  certainly creates the extraordinary.

And yet kindness towards others remains far more important. Kindness stirs people through its very love and simplicity. It is grace in action. Kindness breathes people plain talk that lets people know they are loved, even when they don't especially feel like they deserve it.  And when our kindness transforms even one person, we light the fire of healing for the world.
