Becoming a Member

We would love to have you join us in commitment to supporting and serving Unity Spiritual Center Spokane by becoming a Supporting or Governing Member.  Our mission is to transform lives and empower others to make a positive difference in the world. If you are a current member of a different Unity Center/ Church reach out to us, as your process may be different.


Supporting Members:

Everyone begins as a supporting member for at least one year.  This gives you time to get to know our center, get involved, volunteer and know more about who we are and what we do.

Supporting Members commit to:

*Transforming your life and deepening your own spiritual practice, endeavoring to live in accordance with Unity principles.  This can be supported by attending Sunday Services, programs and/ or participating in spiritual education classes we offer.

*Furthering the mission of this ministry through your active love and interest, sharing your gifts and talents in some form of meaningful service within our ministry and/ or through Unity projects in our community.

*Demonstrating your ownership in our ministry through a self- determined level of financial giving.  You commit to contributing financially to the best of your ability, with the understanding that by doing so, you are helping to fulfill our mission of transforming lives and inspiriting people to make a positive difference in the world.

To become a Supporting Member:

  2. Attend the next Member Orientation.  You can find the next one on our calendar. Reach out to our administrator if you need help.


Governing Members:

Once you have been a Supporting Member for one year or more, you can apply to be a Governing Member.  Governing Members commit to all the same things as a supporting member, and are ready to delve deeper into their participation, service, regular financial commitment and are a voting member of Unity Spiritual Center Spokane.

Governing Members commit to:

*Continued participation in our center’s mission of transporting lives and inspiriting people to make a positive difference in our world through spiritual education, attending Sunday Services, Unity events and connection.

*Regular volunteer service at our center

*Deepening financial support consistent with being in integrity with your desire to be in ownership of USCS’s fiscal well-being.

To become a Governing Member:

  1. Be an active Supporting Member for at least 1 year.
  2. Fill out the online application to become a Governing Member: Click here to fill it out
  3. The board then approves new Governing Members by voting at the meeting following receiving the application and notifies the new Governing Member.


In addition to the spiritual growth you’ll inevitably experience through becoming a current involved member you also get:

*Access to our extensive library of books on spirituality and the history of new thought
