Our celebration of Palm Sunday is less about the triumphant entry of Jesus on his way to summary execution, and is more about what Jesus sought to demonstrate and convey. In the traditional Christian culture, Jesus is seen as to have died for the sins of humanity. Okay, let's say that Jesus took one for the team. Yet, the events leading up to his execution portray Jesus as a victim of the establishment, of those that were threatened by him claiming to be the Son of God.
