Tomorrow, Rev. Jane will be talking with Joan McConnel, coordinator for the Tree of Sharing, and we’re excited about this potential partnership. If you’re a Spokanite, you probably know about the Tree of Sharing, which has been in existence for more than 30 years and serving this area during the holidays. Maybe you had a similar program in your community if you’re not from Spokane.
If you don’t know about this program, here’s what they do–provide a link for people to give gifts to children and seniors in need. Tree of Sharing has a system in place connecting people who have the means to provide gifts with the people who desire these gifts but lack the means. If we can partner with Tree of Sharing (TOS), look for our Christmas tree here at our center. Then find a tag (which will identify the gender, age, and gift desired). Purchase the desired gift, and then return the gift and tag (don’t forget the tag!) to Unity. We’ll connect with TOS who will distribute those gifts in time for the holidays. Tree of Sharing will begin November 20 and ends December 13.
If we aren’t able to get this off the ground this year, you can find TOS at area malls. What do you think? Have you taken part in TOS before? If we bring it, will you come and support it? Let us know by leaving a comment below!

My son is in great need of help with a 2 year old daughter and not enough income to provide a good Christmas, he lives at 2011 s Craig rd airway heights and only has work at a restaurant part time. Anything you can do to help will make their Christmas. He lives there with his disabled fiancee and two year old with an large part of what he makes going to keeping house warm and paying rent. Thank you for your time and god bless!
