This weekend we had a wonderful mix of spiritual, inspirational and totally entertaining at our spiritual center.
We honored Rev. Jackie Green, who has served youth and their families at our center for over 30 years. Our hearts and families are blessed by Jackie’s ever-present shining light of God. We love you Jackie! We also hosted a super-fun Unity Home Companion (UHC) variety show and heard from Dr. Gary on The I of the Storm, Part 2. See our media page to listen to his talk.
Dennis Ashley, UHC Director had this to say about the show:
As the show ended, we were struck with what a wide range of people performed on the stage for Unity Home Companion–all ages, different lengths of time at Unity, and talent that ranged from music to acting to dancing to storytelling. We had people that have been with us from the very first show and people that appeared on the UHC stage for the first time. Isn’t that remarkable?
To have all these people come together and have a great show is really something. The audience was thoroughly entertained, and you got a standing ovation for all your efforts. And it was well-deserved because you rocked the cat box. Nice, nice going.
It truly was a thrilling experience for everyone involved in the show. Thanks to the many who came and those who helped put on the show!
