Unity has been ministering to VOA’s Crosswalk teen shelter for more than 20 years. This fall, we wanted to fill the pantry at Crosswalk–and boy did we!
Thanks to all the folks at this center who donated to its success, to Linda Tweedy and Diane Bisson for spearheading our September Outreach Program, we were able to FILL THE PANTRY. We asked for non-perishable items to be donated to fill the needs of these children for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and look at what you supplied!
A filled pantry allows the staff at Crosswalk to be able to fix meals for the kids when no organization is signed up to supply a meal, so it is extremely important for the welfare of the Crosswalk children.
This will be an ongoing endeavor, so if you missed this chance, there will be plenty more. Look for details about a SOCK drive for these teens.
