Thanks to everyone who took the congregational survey. We know you are all busy and juggle many obligations, and we appreciate your input.
We’ll share our results with our top ministerial candidates to give them a better understanding of our spiritual center and our community. We’re looking for a good match for spiritual community and our new spiritual leader, and your input is crucial.
Thanks a bunch!

Meet Claire. Claire Hart is new to Unity Spiritual Center. She moved to Spokane from Renton, WA in April, and she’s a native of New Jersey. She has four children, four grandchildren & three great-grandchildren. Claire has been a Unity member since 1975.
She likes quality and being challenged which has led her to sewing, crocheting and knitting. Claire has even sewn her own lined and tailored suits, though now she is experimenting more with quilting.
During this chapter of her life, Claire is “looking forward to going with the flow of life. God is going to put me in the right direction to serve Him,” she shared. Claire loves “sermons that inspire you, lift you up and get you ready for Monday morning.” She will miss Rev. David’s positive energy and hopes that our new minister has a similar energy, someone who will “touch the heart and spirit.” After being in Spokane for just a few months, Claire still misses her Unity community from Renton and is hoping to find her Unity family here.

As you know, we are in the process of hiring a minister for our Center.
We’ve received five applications, and the Search Committee will now begin looking at the applicants’ resumes and videos. After careful research, the Search Committee will then make their top two to three recommendations to the Board. After reviewing the Search Committee’s recommendations and hearing from the congregation, the Board will select our next Spiritual Leader.
In the next couple weeks, we will share an online survey. The survey will ask questions about Unity Spiritual Center Spokane, and we invite you to complete the survey. Your answers will be shared with our applicants to give them a more complete picture of who we are.
Please look for an infographic in Fellowship Hall illustrating the 21-step hiring process and our progress.
We welcome you to connect with Board members during Board Listening Sundays to share your questions, compliments and concerns during this congregational process. We move forward prayerfully and with our hearts and minds open to the potential.
