Wednesday Evenings at Unity

Get your mid-week recharge of spirit!  Please join us for dinner at 5:45 pm, with meditation at 6:30 pm and program at 7 pm. 

Wednesdays in March:

Re-Discovering Your Soul: 12 Powers to Reclaim Who We Are

  • March 3:  Faith & Strength - Specific tools to enhance our power of faith and our spiritual strength.
  • March 10: Wisdom, Love & Power - How we augment the intellect and join it to the heart, magnifying our power.
  • March 17: Imagination, Understanding & Will - When we harness our imagination to spiritual understanding, it leads us to use will with more staying power.
  • March 24: Order & Zeal - Developing order allows zeal to burst forth.
  • March 31: Elimination & Life - What do we need to rid ourselves of, and what do we embrace?

Sunday Afternoons

Meditation and More, facilitated by Regina Merritt.  Sunday afternoons from 1 pm to 3 pm in the Chapel.  Come anytime.  By love offering. 

Season for Peace & Nonviolence, Jan 30 to Apr 4

Join our Peace Team during this time with a number of activities focusing on the growth of our own inner peace, as well as its manifestation in the outer world.  The 10th annual Season for Peace & Nonviolence's theme is:  Peace is the wind that fills the sails of prosperity.  On February 14 & 21, join us in the Seva Center to decorate "paper people."  February 17, join Vibradanza for an evening of Drumming for Peace.  February 24, it's the 2nd annual Peace-a-Pie dinner and sing-along.  March 14 will begin a 4 part class (skipping Easter and ending April 11) called Being a Peaceful Presence, with Kathy O'Connor and Clare.      

Saturday, March 6, 1:30-4:30 PEACE RETREAT - Give yourself a true gift and join renowned singer-songwriter Mark Welch, our Ministers, the Unity Peace Team, and our YOU Team for an exciting and experiential afternoon of connecting, music, and finding our inner core of peace.
 
Saturday, March 6, 7-9:00 DANCE/CONCERT with Mark Welch. Come, sit and listen, or join in the circle dances. Coffee and awesome desserts provided for a love offering.
 

Sunday, March 7, 9 and 11:00 Services - Mark Welch will provide our Sunday message in story and song.

Youth of Unity SWEET DEAL AUCTION, Sunday March 14 

Next Sunday come prepared to buy a cake, pie, cookies, candy, or a quiche from our Y.O.U.  This annual fundraiser is great fun and helps our teens attend their regional and international events. 

Men of Unity Breakfast, Saturday, March 20, 8 am 

The next Men of Unity breakfast will be Saturday, March 20 at 8 am at the church. Please sign up in the Seva Center if you would like to attend.

 

Love & Logic Classes, Wednesdays, Jan 27 - Mar 17, 6:15 pm 

Are you looking for easy-to-use techniques that will help you raise responsible kids who are fun to be around? Love and Logic is a philosophy of raising and teaching children which allows adults to be happier, empowered, and more skilled in their interactions with children.  The philosophy is easy to learn and will show you specific "how-to's" not just theoretical concepts.  The facilitators will be Lois Baker and Gini Stiles.  Wednesdays, 6:15 pm, January 27 to March 17. 

The Outrageous Wild Women of Unity:  2010 Retreat Dates:

The Outrageous Wild Women of Unity have announced their retreat dates at N-Sid-Sen for 2010.  March 26 - 28 and September 16 - 18.  Joyce Tucker welcomes your input; please contact her at 242-9980 or Joyce@swanlight.com . 

Unity Players Potluck! Sunday, March 14, 4:30 pm

This celebration is for everyone who's been a part of any Unity Players production (on stage or behind the scenes).  Come dressed as your favorite character from one of our productions!  RSVP by signing up in the Seva Center after March 1.  If you'd like to help out on this event, please contact Kandy Brandt at 536-2020 or Diane Bisson at 220-0471. 

Unity Carrousel Party Sunday, March 21, 5 pm

Come and play with us at the Looff Carrousel in Riverfront Park on Sunday, March 21!  Doors open at 5 pm, and the carrousel will run from 5:30 to 7:30.  Rides are free!  Fun for all ages.  Artist Bill Edge will paint faces, and Slinkey the Clow will charm you with balloon animals.  Also, please help support our Uniteens by purchasing treats, by love offering.
